With 2020 coming to a close, now is the perfect time to reflect and to plan for the coming year. This year has dealt all of us plenty of challenges with the fitness industry being one of the hardest-hit sectors. Fitness facilities have proven their ability to be flexible and to adapt to the current environment. With the new year approaching, we want to help you remain a constant for those in your community so that you are around for the long haul.

How are you preparing for 2021?

Review what you learned from 2020

As you begin to plan for the upcoming year, take some time to reflect on the current year and all that you have done – analyzing what worked and what could be done better.

Are you motivating and engaging members as much as possible in the studio to continue to keep them coming back not only during the pandemic but into the future? If you did go hybrid, you may have had to make the switch quickly to adapt, does the technology you chose work in the most efficient way i.e. with your CRM, audio/video quality, remonetization of classes?

Focus on what you can do

If you have had your eye on a particular digital platform that provides more or works more efficiently than your current offerings, now is the best time to make that transition. Also, thinking about expanding your digital offerings to new markets while still engaging your current customers authentically.

Can you provide your members with a more engaging, motivating platform whether they are in the studio or working out with you from home? Will your strategies carry you into 2021 and beyond?

Develop a multi-plan approach

Providing your members with multiple options to achieve their workout allows them to stay connected to your brand. Ensure you are offering that same world-class experience in the studio and at home, this shows consistency across your platforms creating a united brand image.

Do your in-person and at-home classes have a similar look and feel? Are your clients getting the most value they possibly can out of your classes?

What’s Next?

2021 is right around the corner and health and wellbeing is top of mind for your members. As you begin to evaluate and plan your strategies for the upcoming year, it is important to remain agile, keep positive, and make changes when necessary to stay relevant and engage with your clients.
