Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw has completed a 12 hour bike ride for Sport Relief on Spivi.

The DJ, along with other celebrities, cycled more than 1000 miles and raised more than £115,000.

Grimshaw’s ride is part of BBC Radio Around the World for Sport Relief, which will see BBC radio presenters run, swim and cycle a total of 25,000 miles, the circumference of the world.

Nick’s leg of the challenge took place in a large, transparent box outside BBC Broadcasting House.

Having started during Grimshaw’s Breakfast Show, the cycle finished during Greg James’ Drive Time Show.

He was joined by fellow Radio 1 and 1Xtra presenters, as well as musicians, Olympic athletes and reality TV stars, during the day.

The likes of Example, Davina McCall and Rick Edwards were some of the guests to take part.

The DJ, 29, recently travelled to Kenya to see how some of the money raised by Sport Relief is spent.

Other celebrities including The 1975, Pixie Geldof and Danny Dyer have also taken part in the ride.
