Heart Rate Monitor Pairing Options
There are multiple options to have heart rate monitor’s data tracked and displayed on a Spivi system.
Each option has its own pros and cons and you should select the option that best suits for your needs whether you are a member, instructor or owner.
Before you try to use any of the following pairing options please make sure that your HR monitor is compatible with Spivi.
The system supports any ANT+ compatible monitor, and the Polar H7 / H10 straps.
Each HR monitor has a unique identifier that allows Spivi to identify it when it is active and broadcast heart rate data.
The unique identifier of each HR monitor is burned on the main chip in the newest models.
In most cases these days you’ll have to extract the HR monitor ID using external tools.

In order to use heart rate data from a specific monitor on a Spivi system, the HR monitor’s ID should be paired with a user profile or with a training spot (Bike, Mat, etc).
Permanent pairing with a user profile
The HR monitor’s ID will be permanently associated with a user profile.
Each time a member will be logged in to a class the HR data of the paired HR monitor will be automatically tracked and displayed on the screen.
You can use any of the following methods to create a permanent pairing with a user profile:
This option best suits when a member owns a compatible HR monitor.
Permanent pairing with Training Spots (Bikes, Mats)
The HR monitor’s ID will be permanently associated with a specific spot in the facility.
In a training room with 20 spots, you should have at least 20 HR monitors.
If you have back to back classes we recommend having at least two monitors per spot.
Each HR monitor should be manually numbered based on the number of the paired spot.
I.E – if you’ve paired HR monitor with spot #10 you should physically mark that HR monitor as #10.
Before a class starts you should provide the paired HR monitors to members based on their training spot.
I.E -a member who’s signed up to spot #5 should get the HR monitor marked as #5.
Once the class starts, the HR data of each paired monitor will be automatically tracked and displayed on the screen.
You can use any of the following methods to create a permanent pairing with training spots:
- Self–pairing using the Studio Layout Editor.
- Scheduled pairing with our support team. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a pairing meeting.
This option best suits when HR data is required by the facility management and educational teams and the facility is willing to invest the funds for purchasing dozens of HR monitors.
Temporary pairing with User Profile
The HR monitor’s ID will be temporarily associated with a user profile.
Using this options requires the facility to purchase a couple of HR monitors.
These monitors will be managed on the My Studio dashboard by one of the facility admins.
Before a class starts you should temporary associate HR monitors with members who have signed up to that class.
Each time a member will be logged in to a class the HR data of the temporarily paired HR monitor will be automatically tracked and displayed on the screen.

This option best suits when HR data is recommended by the facility management and educational teams and the facility is willing to invest limited funds in purchasing a few HR monitors.
